Dear One,
There is a very important change for Living Proof I want to share with you. But before I do, I want to update you about few things.
First, I have just returned from a mission trip to South Africa with Keith and my daughter, Melissa. The Lord was truly with us.
Our hearts are overflowing with joy from seeing Christ Jesus captivate the beautiful women who attended the conferences we held in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We received one blessing after another from the fellowship of the gracious missionaries we served with.
The completion of this mission trip brings the close of a busy and blessed summer. My mind is now shifting toward the fall season and everything it holds for Living Proof Ministries.
In fact, on September 12, we will begin our fall semester Bible study – The Psalms of Ascents. If you are a Houston-area resident, I would be thrilled for you to join us on Tuesday nights as we seek to step to a higher plane in our walk with God on our way to His Heavenly Kingdom. We will deliberately seek an ascent – what we’ll characterize as a higher, closer walk – in our journey with God.
Keith and I have walked through many changes in the last year. The first in a long list was the opportunity to teach a Wednesday Bible study on James and Betty Robison’s television program, Life Today. I am still overwhelmed by their graciousness in extending this invitation to me.
The second change was the birth of our grandson in February. You can imagine what a very welcome change this was…one that we had eagerly awaited for several years!
The third change was very difficult and was accompanied by many tears. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, I have taken an indefinite sabbatical from teaching Sunday school. After twenty-two years of lesson preparations, I’ve hardly known what to do with my Saturday afternoons!
The changes God has brought into my life in the last twelve months have not failed to trickle down into Living Proof. One major change approaching this fall is in the realm of radio. Beginning September 1, 2006, our daily radio program, Living Proof with Beth Moore, will become a weekly Internet program.
While we have been incredibly blessed by the opportunity to serve listeners through radio, sadly, my Sunday school lessons were by far the major contributors to the material for the daily radio program. Without those constant lessons we simply can not sustain a radio program every single week day.
I am so sorry for the inconvenience and even sorrier for any disappointment. I can hardly voice what it means to me to serve you in any capacity at all.
God willing, I hope you will be able to transition with us to the internet program. You will have a full week to listen to each week’s program at your convenience
In closing, I’d like to thank you from the deepest part of my heart for any time you have ever prayed for me. The tears well in my eyes as I tell you that I am still head over heels in love with Jesus Christ and no amount of warfare or worldly success has been able to dampen it. A miracle if I’ve ever experienced one.
I have no doubt prayer has been one of the biggest reasons. Pray for me never to take my eyes off His face.
I dearly love you,
Beth
